What can we expect when a Staging By Design Home Stager comes to our home?

We tour your home just like a potential buyer will with an eye to details and features to be highlighted for showings. We determine the best way to highlight your home's features and give our recommendations for changes.

Our recommendations may include furniture and accessory arrangement, editing, organizing, and more. Best of all, with your approval, we immediately begin making the changes for you!

What preparations will we need to make before a Staging By Design Home Stager arrives?

Because your home has been placed on the market already (or you are ready to place your home on the market) your home staging appointment will be scheduled as soon as possible. Many times our clients don't have time to complete specific preparations in advance and our report will be your guide to items you will want to do soon after your home staging is completed.

If you have time, however, you may want to sort and discard items that you no longer need or want in advance of your appointment. Full Service home staging includes sorting and pre-packing closets and cabinets for you. We will also pre-pack accessories, toys, books, etc. that may be edited during our work. We provide packing materials for an additional fee.

And, it's always a great idea to have your home detail cleaned before your Home Stager arrives. While we don't provide cleaning services, we may uncover "hidden" areas that we will lightly dust or vacuum as necessary.

Should we be prepared to take notes of the recommendations our Home Stager provides?

Most of the time your Home Stager will take photos of your home so that it is easier for Staging By Design to complete your home staging report after the appointment. When we complete a Home Staging project, a report outlining what has been done is sent to you and your referring REALTOR so it should not be necessary for you to take notes at your appointment.
